The 10th Harpenden Scout Group meets at Crabtree Fields Scout Headquarters, situated on Waldegrave Park, Harpenden, AL5 5SF.

The Group consists of approximately 160 children spread across two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs and two Scout troops. They are fortunate to take part in the fabulous varied programme laid on by the strong team of over 35 adult volunteer leaders.

10th Harpenden (Methodist) Scout Group was established in 1952 and in 2012 celebrates its 50th anniversary. To commemorate this anniversary a gold border has been added to the burgundy Scout neckerchiefs.

The Crabtree Fields Headquarters were built in 2008 and are surrounded by Green Belt land, encompassing a large playing area. It is close to many schools, including High Beeches, Crabtree Junior School and Sir John Lawes School.

The aim of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
